Quotation from Portraits of the 70's: "That Warhol could paint simultaneously Warren Beatty and electric chairs, Troy Donahue and race riots, Marilyn Monroe and fatal crashes, may seem the peculiar product of perversely cool and passive personality until we realize that this numb, voyeuristic view of contemporary life, in which the grave and the trivial, the fashionable and the horrifying , blandly coexist as passing spectacles, is a deadly accurate mirror of a commonplace experience in modern art and life."

COA: The only serious COA for Warhol prints comes from the Board of the Warhol Foundation. The examination costs are all in all about $ 2000. It will be issued for hand signed lithographs or hand paintings which have value of min. $ 20000.

Customer Reviews

I adore my Marilyn limited edition lithograph signed by Andy. It looks even better in person and the color and image pop out at you. Also looks bigger in person even though the dimensions were given. Absolutely love it and am so pleased. I was a bit hesitant to spend the money as I am certainly not an art collector or have extra cash laying around but I've been a bit obsessed with Warhol and Edie and the whole downtown NYC art scene including the rise of Basquiat and the Warhol-Basquiat friendship. After doing some research, realized this was probably my only chance to afford a piece of Warhol history and who doesn't love Marilyn Monroe? Thanks so much for providing these lithographs for sale. The whole process from start to finish was pretty easy and the packaging was top notch.

Thank you very much for your purchase and review!!!
